• Measure impact in business terms; keep a brag doc; make your manager's job easy.
• Protect deep work with ruthless calendar hygiene; meetings expand to occupy willpower.
• Write. Documents scale better than charm and survive reorgs.
• Prefer boring, profitable products over shimmering pivots; boring compounds.
• Build a lateral network across ops, finance, and sales. They outlast toolchains.
• Negotiate boundaries early; if it isn’t in writing, it’s a vibe—and vibes vanish in Q4.
